  1. Hi Amis,

I was wondering if might know why I can't save any prim composer preferences. I use windows 7 and have tried 32 and 64bit versions of 3ds max 2009, 2010,2011, and 64bit 2012. The only version that will allow me to save my prim composer preferences is 32bit 2009.

Does anyone have any clue how I can fix this in another later version?

    Best,
    Brandon

  2. Hello Brandon,
I think your problem comes from UAC. You have two options. Start 3ds max as Administrator or disable the UAC completely (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/).
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards

  3. Hi Amis,

That worked! Thank you so much! This will probably fix some of the other problems I have been having with installations as well. I really appreciate it.

    Best,
    Brandon

  4. Hello can someone tell me where to install prim composer on 3dsmax 2012? there is no stdplugins. Just plugins, scripts and mentalimages. Also do I copy whole folder or just files? Thank you in advanced.

    1. Hello,
I'm on 2012 and i have "stdplugs". Put the entire "primcomposer" folder in "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2012\stdplugs\stdscripts\". Hope this helps.
