Maxport's "--lsl" option seems to be broken.

Hey all,
Like the title states, it seems the "--lsl" option of maxport.exe no longer works :( I've made several tests on different sims and I was unable to make it operational. If someone have a different expiriance, please let me know :)
Best regards

  1. Hello,
I'm not the creator of prim composer or maxport etc, so i can't fix that and i didn't find any workaround instead of normal upload :(

  3. There is a new import thing coming soon in secondlife there you can import .dae files. maybe that why the maxport don't works.

  4. Hey Danny,
LL still poke the code to stabilize mesh import. I hope they won't mess maxport completely :) Right now maxport is working correctly, but "--lsl" function doesn't.

Can you please tell me/us some actual information about Prim Composer? I know about meshes but still did not find more information about how many pleope are viewing meshes and so if i should move to mesh or continue with sculpting. Thanks for answer :)

  6. Hello Daniel. Every viewer on the grid is now capable of viewing mesh. After the SSA (server side appearance) has been rolled, all old viewers stopped working, and the ones that support SSA, support mesh too :) The new drama is about materials, but this is another topic :) There are some nice groups in world where you can get many answers like: "Mesh Dev" for example. You need sculpties only if you want to make some sort of animation with sculpty switch. To be honest I stopped using Prim Composer long time ago :) Hope this helps :)
